Today, when I awoke, I suddenly realized that this is the best day of my life, ever!

There were times when I wondered if I would make it to today, but I did! And because I did, I am going to celebrate!

Today, I am going to celebrate what an unbelievable life I have had so far: the accomplishments, the many blessings, and yes, even the hardships because they have made me stronger. I will go through this day with my head held high and a happy heart.

I will marvel at the Creator's seemingly simple gifts: the morning dew, the sun, the clouds, the grees, the flowers, the birds. Today, none of these miraculous creations will escape my notice.

Today, I will share my excitement for life with other people. I will make someone smile. I will go out of my way to perform an unexpected act of kindness for someone I do not even know.Today, I will give a sincere compliment to someone who seems down. I will tell a child how special he or she is, and I will tell someone I love just how deeply I care for them and how much they mean to me.

Today is the day I quit worrying about what I do not have and start being grateful for all the wonderful things the Creator has already given me.

I will remember that to worry is just a waste of time because my faith in my Creator and its Divine Plan ensures everything will be just fine.

Tonight, before I go to bed, I will go outside and raise my eyes to the heavens. I will stand in awe of the beauty of the stars and the moon and I will praise my Creator for these magnificent treasures.

As the day ends and I lay my head down on my pillow, I will thank the Almighty for the best day of my life. And I will sleep the sleep of a contented child, excited with expectation because I know tomorrow is going to be......The Best Day of My Life!

Listen to the Exhortation of the Dawn!
Look to this Day!
For it is Life, the very Life of Life.
In its brief course lie all the
Verities and Realities of your Existence.
The Bliss of Growth,
The Glory of Action,
The Splendor of Beauty;
For Yesterday is but a Dream,
And To-morrow is only a Vision;
But To-day well lived makes
Every Yesterday a Dream of Happiness,
And every Tomorrow a Vision of Hope.
Look well therefore to this Day!
Such is the Salutation of the Dawn!

The following was sent to me by a friend who is a distributor of the Willard Water, which is a healing catalyst in drinking water. I use it and highly recommend it.

Here is the favored prayer used by the man who discovered this one-and-only patented catalyst-altered-water:

Heavenly Father, teach me to realize that I am not now nor will I ever be so important that I can ignore the common rights of the humblest man. Teach me to mind my own business and to refrain from telling someone else how to run his.
Give me the will to live each day in the full joy of the living present, without regret for yesterday or fear of what tomorrow may bring. Help me to stop grumbling against things that are no concern to me, and teach me to evaluate the issues that are vital.
Open my eyes to the beauties of nature, to its majestic and impersonal laws and lessons that are to be found in its ever-changing economy. Teach me to be as patient and alert as the birds that rest in the trees. Help me to understand the immutable laws that govern the seasons and the kaleidoscopic changes they weave.
Give me the will to seek the truth wherever it may be, the wisdom to apply it, the fortitude to wait for others to seek it, and the good sense to realize that no one, myself included, has a monopoly on it. Let me have patience and forbearance with those who are restive, and when others provoke me, either willfully or without design, teach me to keep silent and poised without austerity.
Give me the wisdom to understand that sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof, and when night comes, let me make a pillow of my faith and with a prayer of my thankfulness on my lips, let me go to sleep without fear of what night may bring. Amen  (Author Unknown)

I love it when I can read a book and something in it expands my mind and knowledge. This Christmas, I was gifted with the book The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. What I realized is that the tipping point is similar to the Hundredth Monkey Syndrome – only Gladwell delves into epidemics and their causes. Epidemics are not only diseases. Have you ever been part of an epidemic of laughter? Someone begins to laugh and soon everyone in the room is laughing. The laughter became contagious. Gladwell gives an example of the Hush Puppy brand of shoes. They went out of style and in 1995 they became fashionable again. In contemplating these two words epidemic and contagious, I realize that this planet needs an epidemic of major proportions of love and gratitude.

I also researched the Hundredth Monkey and apparently this is a study done on a small Japanese island regarding one monkey getting the idea to wash its sweet potato and soon other monkeys picked up on the idea. Ken Keyes wrote a best seller on this research and although the actual study may not have been exactly as Keyes wrote, it does have validity. What it indicates for me is a paradigm shift or reaching critical mass. This only enhances my reason for forming the For Freedom Now Project.

 I am asking that you continue with your focus of sending love and gratitude all around the Earth. I am asking that you send this website to as many people as you possibly can. www.forfreedomnow.weebly/home.html. Love and gratitude encompasses appreciation, laughter and a light heart. We may not see the results immediately. There will come a time when each of us will get an aha and realize that love and gratitude has reached the tipping point. I send each of you a big dose of love and appreciation. Bettye Johnson.

THE POWER IN YOU 12/12/2008

A minority of people on this planet understand the power that is within them and why is this? From a perspective of observation, I will state that these people have a high acceptance of new information and new ideas. These are people who are willing to change their belief systems. I understand that skepticisn can play a part, however too much skepticism can close doors to great opportunities. I can recall when I was faced with ideas that were foreign to my belief system. I knew I wanted a change in my life and I developed an approach to these new and outrageous ideas. I told myself 'it's a possibility.' When I began responding with this mental statement, acceptance came easily when I began to explore these new concepts and ideas. During these challenging times in the world, we can open doors to new potentials and possibilities by incorporating the words of love, gratitude, possibility and acceptance into our belief systems. Few people realize the power of their words and how these words and thought from our lives. It is one of the biggest secrets of all time.

Are you aware that you have the wand of the wizard within you? Surprised?  There is a word that vibrates at a frequency that can help to change any situation. This word goes hand-in-hand with the words of love and gratitude.  This word vibrates at a unique frequency that attracts events that you desire. This magic word is appreciation. Yes, it also has a meaning of thanks and gratitude and it also encompasses the value of persons or things, recognition of qualities, as well as an increase in value such as goods and property. To unleash the magic properties of appreciation, one must use it for unconditional love and the enjoyment of the moment. Look around you and what beauty and value do you see? Can you appreciate them? Can you appreciate the value of someone in your life? Mahatma Gandhi knew the power of appreciation:  "Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment."

This world appears to be in turmoil and are we contributing fear that fuels the turmoil, or are we contributing appreciation of our self, what we have, the people in our life and our work? More than ever, this is a time to unleash our Magic Wand using appreciation, love and gratitude and began noticing the changes around us and in our life.  When I look out the window from my computer room, I can see the trees, the sky and the birds feeding at my bird feeder and I appreciate them and send them my appreciation with love and gratitude. When someone doesn't fit in with my personality, I look for one thing that I can appreciate about them. It only takes a shift in the mind and the belief structure to create wonderment. This is the season to give the gift of appreciation and wrap it with love and gratitude. Gratitude that we have been given the gift of life.

During these challenging economic times, we can uplift our spirits and also contribute uplifting words and thoughts to the world. This is the reason I am using the words Love and Gratitude to send out to the world. I grew up in the Great Depression of the last century. I remember well a movie of hope starring Bing Crosby in 1936. The title of the movie is Pennies From Heaven and he sang a beautiful song. Here are the lyrics as sung by Bing Crosby: A long time ago - A million years BC - The best things in life - Were absolutely free. - But no one appreciated - A sky that was always blue.-And no one congratulated - A moon that was always news. - So it was planned that they would vanish now and then - And you must pay before you get them back again. - That's what storms were made for _ And you shouldn't be afraid for _ Every time it rains - Pennies from heaven. - You'll find your fortune falling - All over town. - Be sure that your umbrella is upside down. - Trade them for a package of sunshine and flowers. - If you want the things you love - You must have showers. - So when you hear it thunder - Don't run under a tree. - There'll be pennies from heaven for you and me.

Who am I? There is no mystery to me because I have been willing to share my life in various bios that are on the web. I was born on a hot summer night in Dallas, Texas in the home of my parents. It was the year of the big stock market crash and the beginning of the Great Depession of the last century. My first five years were filled with sickness and it was as if I wanted to check out. However, I am here to say I am most happy I stayed around because after I left my childhood my life became quite changeable and interesting.  After leaving Texas Women's University (then it was called Texas State College for Women), I lived in Houston and worked for the Navy Department. One day I read a small article in the newspaper about recruiters from the U.S. State Department were in the city interviewing clerical for overseas work with the Foreign Service Division. I applied and was offered a job as a code clerk. I had no idea what that would entail, but accepted and after 3 months training in Washington D.C. I was on my way to Paris, France and the American Embassy there. My job? To encode and decode secret messages. After my tour in Paris, I transferred to Tokyo where I met and married the father of my children - we had three sons. I had an education during the course of my marriage because my military husband was away two-thirds of the time and I learned how to maintain my own decision-making, rearing three sons the way I wanted, and the logistics of moving from place to place. Perhaps I have been a gypsy at heart during those years. After 17 years I returned to the work force and well, life became even more enriched. After 23 years, I divorced and married my late husband. He retired in 1985 and in 1986 we moved to Washington State and here I am. I am a seeker of truth. I became a writer in 2001 when my husband passed and now have four books in print. The first was A Christmas Awakening, followed by Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls, an Independent Publishers Book Awards winner 2006, Mary Magdalene, Her Legacy an Independent Publishers Book Awards winner 2008. My most recent book is Awakening the Genie Within, a semi-memoir and self-help book for anyone. Passion is an interesting word with a variation of meanings, i.e. the powerful emotions of love, joy, hatred or anger. It also encompasses a strong sexual desire such as lust. There is another aspect of passion that I have and this is enthusiasm. I have a passion or enthusiasm to right the wrongs done to women over the eons. I have a passion to see the end of racial hatred and prejudice. I have a passion to see the end of the abuse of children, women and all people. I have the passion to see an end to poverty. I have passion to see the unlimited potentials flower in all people. I have a passion for life.
